Profile
Mr. Souvik Bhattacharya is an Assisstant Professor in the Department of School of Applied Science at Sapthagiri NPS University. He holds a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and brings a blend of academic expertise and industry experience to the classroom.
Before transitioning into academia, he worked in the software industry with CazeLabs and KrewBee, contributing to the design and development of modern web applications.
At CazeLabs, he contributed to the development of HireSense, an AI-powered recruitment platform, focusing on frontend development, user interface design, and user experience optimization using modern web technologies.
During his tenure at KrewBee, he gained hands-on experience with modern frontend technologies, including Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Storybook, while working on scalable web applications and reusable component libraries.
His teaching philosophy emphasizes bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world software development. He encourages students to apply theoretical concepts through practical projects, design thinking, and industry-standard development practices.
His teaching areas include UI/UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Web Technologies, Data Science using R Programming, and Software Development. He has a strong interest in creating engaging learning experiences through project-based learning, interactive teaching methodologies, and modern educational technologies.
In addition to teaching, he actively contributes to academic administration, curriculum development, and institutional initiatives, with a focus on fostering innovation, creativity, and professional growth among students.
