Dr. Buddesab is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science, School of Engineering and Technology, Sapthagiri NPS University, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. He is an experienced academician, researcher, and educator with a strong background in teaching, research, and industry, possessing over 20 years of combined professional experience.
He received his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Information Science and Engineering from The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru, affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, Karnataka, in 2009. He earned his Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT), Bengaluru, affiliated with VTU, Belagavi, Karnataka, in 2013. He was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE), Bengaluru, affiliated with Bangalore University, Karnataka, India, in 2021.
Dr. Buddesab has 2 years of industrial experience, 15 years of teaching experience, and 6 years of research experience. Throughout his academic career, he has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Science and Engineering and has actively contributed to curriculum development, outcome-based education (OBE) implementation, laboratory development, academic administration, and research activities.
His teaching expertise includes Computer Networks, Cloud Computing, Database Management Systems, Advanced Database Systems, Operating Systems, Web Technologies, Artificial Intelligence, Data-Centric AI, Cyber Security, and Programming Languages. He has designed course materials, laboratory manuals, question banks, and outcome-based assessment methodologies aligned with modern engineering education practices.
Dr. Buddesab has published more than 25 research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences. His publications include articles in Scopus-indexed and SCI-indexed journals. His current research interests include Computer Networks, Cloud Computing, Database Management Systems, Wireless Sensor Networks, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Network Security, and Intelligent Healthcare Systems.
He has served as a reviewer for various international journals and conferences and actively participates in research collaborations, technical paper reviews, and academic mentoring. He has guided undergraduate and postgraduate student projects in emerging areas of Computer Science and Engineering.
Apart from teaching and research, Dr. Buddesab has held several academic and administrative responsibilities, including serving as an IBM SPOC Coordinator, coordinating industry-oriented certification programs, organizing faculty development programmes (FDPs), workshops, seminars, technical events, and industrial visits. He has also contributed to syllabus design, Board of Studies (BoS) activities, accreditation-related documentation, and university academic planning.
