Profile

Dr. Deepak S. Sakkari is a distinguished academic leader, researcher, and administrator with over two decades of experience in higher education, academic governance, and institutional development. He proudly serves as the Director of CSE – Data Science and currently holds the additional responsibility of Director – IQAC, where he leads initiatives related to quality assurance, academic excellence, innovation, and strategic growth of the university.

He holds a Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, with specialization in Wireless Sensor Networks, along with an M.Tech. in Information Technology and B.E. in Instrumentation & Electronics. His academic and research interests include Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Internet of Things, and Outcome-Based Education.

Dr. Deepak has held several prestigious leadership positions such as Professor, Head of Department, NBA Head, NAAC Coordinator, and Chief IA Coordinator. Throughout his career, he has made notable contributions in curriculum development, accreditation processes, examination reforms, faculty mentoring, research promotion, and student success initiatives. He has an impressive record of publications in reputed journals, patents, authored books, conference presentations, and successful guidance of research scholars.

As an academic visionary, Dr. Deepak is committed to building a future-ready university ecosystem recognized for quality education, innovation, research excellence, and strong industry collaboration. His mission is to promote continuous improvement, technology-enabled learning, employability, entrepreneurship, and holistic student development. He strongly believes in nurturing socially responsible graduates, innovators, and future leaders who can contribute meaningfully to society, industry, and nation-building.
