Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
MCA is a two-year post-graduate degree program in computer science and information technology. Students are taught latest technologies in computer science and to apply their knowledge of mathematics, science, and computing appropriately to model and develop software applications. The curriculum provides a robust theoretical, practical foundation in programming languages, software development, database management, and computer networks, along with latest technologies which provides practical skills that are emphasized for solving real-world computing problems.
The curriculum covers a mix of core and elective subjects, including DevOps, AWS, Tableau, ,Power Bi, Hadoop, Robotic Process Automation, Block Chain, AR & VR, Data Science, NLP, AI, Edge Computing, Cyber Security in addition to the core subjects like Mathematical Foundation of Computer Science, OO Concepts, Programming languages like Python, Java, Computer Organization and Architecture, Data Structures, Operating Systems, Database Management Systems, Communication Skills and Software Engineering, Computer Networks, Web Technologies, Mobile Computing, Data Warehousing, Data Mining, Project Management and a Major Project Work etc. MCA has different specialization Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Cloud Computing and Digital forensics.
Eligibility
- Graduates in any discipline from a university recognized by the government of India, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent, including language subjects.
- The students should have studied Mathematics/ Computer science/ Business Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications/ Electronics as subject at PUC level or equivalent HSC (XII standard) or at Degree level.
